On December 9, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was present with the report on the improvement of utility service and provision of drinking water. This was reported by the press service of the president.
One of the important tasks in the industry is the uninterrupted supply of houses with heat. More than half of multi-storey buildings have a centralized and individual heat supply system. The rest are heated using furnaces, electric heaters or other equipment.
In 2022, 527 facilities and nearly 7 thousand kilometers of water pipes were laid. At the beginning of the year, the level of provision of drinking water to the population was 70%, and by the end of the year, it is planned to rise this figure by 4%.
In 2023, it is planned to commission 62 objects based on the Investment program, and 373 objects within the framework of the “Obod qishloq” va “Obod mahalla” programs. As a result of these works, the drinking water supply of more than 3 million people in 403 mahallas will be improved, and 181 mahallas will be connected to this network for the first time.
Also, through the social order of the state, projects are being implemented to provide drinking water to neighbourhoods located far from the district center. It is planned to lay 251 kilometers of pipelines to 17 such villages next year. The head of state emphasized the importance of these works for the quality of life and health of the population and gave additional instructions.
