A meeting held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade with Hwa Joon So, CEO of the EDCF Fund of Korea Eximbank, discussed the process of implementation of socially significant projects in the field of healthcare and pharmaceuticals with a total value of more than 500 million dollars supported by this fund, the ITSV news service reports.
The sides touched upon the construction of the National Oncology Center and a multidisciplinary medical clinic for adults, as well as the establishment of a pharmaceutical university (stage 1) in the territory of the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster.
Also, the issue of speeding up the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the implementation of the projects "Establishment of the Medical University" and the creation of the scientific-educational parts of the innovative scientific-production pharmaceutical cluster "Tashkent Pharma Park" (stage 2) was considered.
The parties also discussed the possibility of simplifying the procedures before signing loan agreements. He identified new promising areas of cooperation, including the development of regional road and railway communications and digitization of the health sector.
According to the results of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue active cooperation in order to implement the discussed initiatives as well as new projects planned for implementation in 2023-2024.
