Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that there are still a number of problems in providing quality preschool education in the world.
“Almost 200 million children globally do not attend pre-schools, so their opportunities to get primary education are limited. And it is no secret that the coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated the problem. In this predicament it is vital for all countries to deepen close cooperation, unite and solve problems together,” the president said.
The head of state said that the Tashkent conference will help to develop new approaches and solutions to the issue of children's education.
“Currently, there are about 3 million children of preschool age in our country. There is no doubt that they are our most valuable assets, the creators of our free and prosperous life and our bright futures. In the recent past, the rate of children's preschool education in our country dropped to 27%. Almost all preschool educational institutions lacked modern technologies and manuals, and their buildings were dilapidated limiting our kids’ full quality education and upbringing,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
The President touched upon that subsidies for each child in kindergartens have been provided from the state budget.
“In recent years, the number of kindergartens in our country has increased by 6 times. Thousands of family kindergartens were established in remote and remote areas. the number of kindergarten teachers and instructors has reached 160,000. As a result, the number of children receiving education and training in kindergartens has increased from 600 thousand to 2 million, and the coverage level has reached 70 per cent,” - Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
