Sixty-five students and schoolchildren from the capital Tashkent (50), and the historic city of Samarkand (15) aced the language test launched by the Chinese Embassy to Uzbekistan. Speaking at the award ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Yan noted that 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between the two countries. Furthermore, the envoy emphasized that President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Uzbekistan in September this year was successful.
‘The leaders of the two countries set an important tone for the further development of bilateral relations. The Chinese side is ready to create more favorable conditions for deepening cultural and humanitarian exchange’, Ambassador Jiang Yan said, adding that great hope lies in the youth that would maintain the future of friendship between China and Uzbekistan.
‘Contemporary Chinese and Uzbek youth live in the very era when they are given the widest arena to reveal their abilities; they will have an infinitely bright future to fulfill their dreams,’ Ambassador noted.
In turn, the teachers and winners thanked the Embassy for launching the scholarship program. Furthermore, they expressed their readiness to improve the teaching and learning experience of the Chinese language to promote the Uzbek-Chinese friendship.
