On Thursday (November 10), Samarkand greeted the first attendees of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
So far, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in the historic city of Samarkand to participate in the summit.
Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, is expected to arrive on Friday (November 11).

The OTS Secretary-General Baghdad Amreyev, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, TURKPA Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er, Acting President of the International Turkic Academy Fuzuli Majidli, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva have also arrived in Samarkand.
