Japan has allocated more than 270.6 thousand dollars to provide equipment to medical institutions in Tashkent, Bukhara region, and Karakalpakstan within the framework of the state program of non-discriminatory assistance to small social projects. This was reported by the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan.
On October 20, a ceremony of signing agreements that were held at the Ministry of Health, on October 20, guarantees the provision of medical equipment to three medical institutions:
- Medical association of Nukus region of the Republic of Karakalpakstan ($90 600);
- Medical association of Peshku district of Bukhara region ($90 000);
- Family polyclinic No. 17 in Almazor district of Tashkent city ($89 900).
Japanese ambassador Yoshinori Fujiyama noted that since 1995, more than 410 projects with a total cost of about 27.6 million dollars have been implemented in the fields of health, education, and agriculture within the framework of this program.
