Charles Michel tweeted that he would travel first to visit Astana at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan and participate in the meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries on October 26-27. Then, On October 28, he would come to Uzbekistan and hold talks with Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
"The European Council is ready to deepen ties with Central Asia & support intra-regional cooperation," Charles Michel texts.
Charles Michel had a phone call with Shavkat Mirziyoyev on July 4. During the conversation, the top politicians touched upon issues of expanding multilateral and mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
