The Uzbek military squad have snatched the first gold medal at ArMI—2022 by winning in the “Road Patrol” competition hosted by the city of Kokand as part of the VIII International Army Games.
The servicemen from Russia, Iran and Belarus competed in a 4-day competition that consisted of individual race”, “technical break”, “extreme stop”, “parallel parking”, “contravariation”, and military relay hurdles.
Senior lieutenant Jamoliddin Egamberdiev and junior sergeant Muzaffar Tolaboev were awarded “The best technical assistant” nomination, while sergeant 3rd class Siddiq Azamov was recognized as the best in “Extreme driver” and “Universal specialist " contests.
At the closing ceremony of the competition, Colonel Alisher Norboev, Deputy Minister of Defense awarded the gold medal to the Uzbek team. Russian military cohort received the silver medal whereas the servicemen of Belarus and Iran shared third place.
