On June 4, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education met with the Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yoshinori Fujiyama and the delegation led by Suguru Miyazaki, the head of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office in Uzbekistan, the ministry reports.
The Japanese government has financed 378 Uzbek students to study at famous Japanese universities within 20 years and plans to further its cooperation with Uzbekistan.
For that, on behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan, the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Abduqadir Tashkulov, and the Ambassador of Japan, Yoshinori Fujiyama, signed a Memorandum of Exchange within the framework of the projects of scholarships for personnel training worth 2.76 million dollars and the Japanese international cooperation on the implementation of this project.
Within the framework of these projects, next year 18 civil servants will be given the opportunity to study at masters and doctorate courses in Japan.
