Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is hosting an international judo tournament as part of the Grand Slam series.
On June 26, Davlat Bobonov, reached the final in the 90kg category where he lost to Russian Mikhail Igolnikov and was confined to a silver medal.
Thus, the Uzbek athlete scored 700 points in the world rankings and 350 points in the run-up to the 2024 Olympics in Paris becoming the world leader in his weight class, according to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan's website.
The Uzbek judo team has won 1 gold, 1 silver and two bronze medals at Ulaanbaatar Grand Slam 2022.
