The Uzbek government has approved a regulation on the procedure for the cooperation of local non-governmental organizations with government agencies in the implementation of international grant projects, ‘Huquqiy axborot’ Telegram channel reports.
The main purpose is to provide legal and technical assistance to government agencies in the implementation of international grant projects of NGOs According to the document:
- The authorized state body in the relevant field will be involved as a national partner in the international grant project of the non-governmental non-profit organization;
- The national partner will ensure the effective implementation of the international grant project, prompt resolution of problems arising in the implementation of the project, the involvement of other government agencies in its implementation, depending on the content of the project, and other tasks;
- A “roadmap” will be approved in consultation with the NGO to effectively organize government support for NGOs in the implementation of international grant projects.
According to the charter, government agencies are responsible for the further development of social partnerships with non-governmental non-profit organizations.
