Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez head for divorce after two years of marriage
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are parting ways, as Grande filed a divorce petition in Los Angeles on September 18, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their dissolution.
Family law attorney Laura Wasser is representing Grande in this divorce case, while Gomez's legal representation is yet to be confirmed. The couple exchanged vows in 2021 in an intimate ceremony with fewer than 20 attendees. The wedding took place at their Montecito home, and Grande later shared pictures on Instagram, captioning them with "5.15.21."
The photos displayed Grande in a Vera Wang wedding gown and featured the couple sharing a kiss. This marriage followed Grande's engagement to comedian Pete Davidson, and the couple made their relationship public with the release of her 2020 song "Stuck with U," where Gomez appeared in the music video.
They announced their engagement in the same year. Rumors of their separation began circulating in July when Grande was seen without her wedding ring during a Wimbledon outing. While Grande last posted a photo with Gomez on her social media in November, they generally kept their relationship low-key.
The Grammy-winning artist had been occupied filming the cinematic adaptation of "Wicked" in London before the SAG-AFTRA strike in July.
