To ensure the highest levels of passenger comfort and safety, these flights will be performed by the modern Airbus A321Neo aircraft. Notably, this route marks Centrum Air 's first passenger service to China and also, the first direct flight between Guangzhou and Central Asia, filling a crucial gap in air connectivity between the two regions.
Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, holds a vital position in Central Asia and serves as an essential hub along the "One Belt One Road" initiative. The city’s rich cultural heritage, historic landmarks, and stunning natural landscapes have attracted the attention of travelers worldwide. The direct flight between Tashkent and Guangzhou will foster increased passenger flow and facilitate deeper collaboration in all spheres.
Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of Centrum Air, expressed his enthusiasm for the new route, calling it a major milestone in the airline’s expansion strategy. He emphasized that the direct flight would not only streamline travel between Central Asia and East Asia but also inject new energy into economic and trade relations between Uzbekistan and China. Looking ahead, Centrum Air plans to increase flight frequencies, expand its route network, and continuously enhance its aviation services for passengers.
At the inaugural ceremony, Sultanbek Imamov, the Consul General of the Uzbekistan Consulate in Guangzhou, congratulated all parties involved in the successful launch of the route. He highlighted its importance in supporting economic and trade ties, fostering cultural exchanges, and strengthening the bonds of friendship between the two countries. He noted that as Guangzhou continues to be a key economic, cultural, and technological hub in southern China, the new connection with Tashkent offers vast potential for cooperation and interaction.
For passengers in Guangzhou, the new route offers a convenient and time-saving travel option. Previously, travelers had to transit through Beijing or Urumqi to reach Tashkent, but now they can enjoy a direct flight. This will not only reduce travel time and costs but also opens up new opportunities for those wishing to explore Central Asia’s rich culture, history, and natural beauty. With the successful launch of the Tashkent-Guangzhou route, Centrum Air anticipates a strong demand from passengers traveling for business, tourism, and family visits to Central Asia.
