Kazakhstan’s national carrier, Air Astana, is set to begin direct flights between Almaty and Phu Quoc, Vietnam, starting October 28. The new route will cater to the growing demand for travel to the popular Vietnamese destination.
Flights will be operated twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, utilizing A321LR aircraft. The airline plans to increase the frequency to four flights per week in December, adding services on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Air Astana has announced that the cost of round-trip economy class tickets will begin at KZT 335,899 (around $700), including taxes. Passengers can book tickets through the airline’s official website or authorized agencies.
In line with Vietnam's visa policy, citizens of Kazakhstan can stay in the country for up to 30 days without a visa, providing additional convenience for travellers.
Yerbolat Baisalykov, Senior Vice President for Revenue Management and Commercial Planning at Air Astana, stated that the new route is part of the airline’s efforts to expand its network and meet passenger needs. He expressed confidence that Phu Quoc will become a popular destination among travellers.
