Afghan Zalal Mowafaq Industrial Company is set to establish a state-of-the-art soft drink production facility near Tashkent, with a substantial investment totaling $130mn. The project, announced in collaboration with local authorities, aims to bolster regional economic growth and create significant employment opportunities.
The chosen site for the venture is the Mirobod mahalla in Dustabad, Kuyichirchik district, strategically located near Tashkent. This location was selected following thorough deliberations between Zalal Mowafaq representatives and the regional khokimiyat, underscoring its suitability for both logistical efficiency and operational synergy.
The Afghan company, known for its expertise in producing soft drinks including the popular Attack Energy, plans a phased approach to plant construction. The initial phase, slated for completion by the end of this year, represents a critical milestone in the project's timeline. Subsequently, the second phase is scheduled for realization in 2025.
Moreover, the project is anticipated to stimulate economic activity in the region by facilitating both domestic sales and exports of its soft drink products. This dual-market approach underscores Zalal Mowafaq's strategic vision to capitalize on Uzbekistan's burgeoning consumer market while enhancing its regional export footprint.
