Welterweight champion Terence Crawford, holder of the WBC, WBO, and WBA championship belts, is slated to contest his next bout against Israil Madrimov. Madrimov, hailing from Uzbekistan, currently holds the WBA title in the first middleweight category. As reported by ESPN, the highly anticipated fight is scheduled for August 3 and will unfold in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Notably, Crawford's last victory came on July 30 of the previous year when he secured a technical knockout against Errol Spence in the ninth round, thus clinching the title of absolute world champion in the welterweight division.
The American champion boasts an unblemished professional record, having emerged victorious in all 40 of his bouts. Of these trixumphs, 31 were achieved via knockout.
Recalling recent events, on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Madrimov secured victory by knocking out Russian contender Magomed Kurbanov in the fifth round, thus claiming the WBA belt.
