Kungirotboy Sharipov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Uzbekistan, met with Abdujabbar Rahmonzade, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Tajikistan, to discuss the growing collaboration between the two countries in the fields of higher education, science, and innovation, on March 18, government portal of uzbekistan reported.
Over the past six years, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have witnessed a enhancement in their bilateral relations within the realm of higher education, science, and innovation. This collaboration encompasses various activities such as the exchange of teachers and students, hosting scientific conferences, mutual participation in dissertation defense councils, facilitating joint learning processes, fostering the professional development of professors and teachers, as well as integrating digital technologies into education. Additionally, scientists from both nations have been actively contributing to scientific journals through the publication of articles.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation in education by sharing experiences to enhance the organization of educational processes and introducing new technologies. They also highlighted the significance of improving the qualifications of teachers, delivering lectures, and conducting master classes to foster academic excellence.
Furthermore, discussions revolved around the upcoming forum of rectors from universities in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, scheduled to take place in April in Tashkent. Additionally, organizational matters pertaining to an educational exhibition showcasing universities from Uzbekistan in Tajikistan were deliberated upon.
