Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov and Acting Mayor of Tashkent Shavkat Umrzakov recently convened a meeting with Anatoly Soy, the director of EAST GAMES, to discuss key initiatives for the development of the IT sector and the digitalization of state administration in Uzbekistan, Ministry of Digital Technologies reported.
During the meeting, a comprehensive overview of the priority tasks outlined by the Head of State, as discussed in the video selector meeting on December 20, was presented. The discussions also covered the benefits that will be extended to IT enterprises in the future as part of the country's commitment to fostering technological advancements.
The dialogue encompassed proposals and feedback on strategies to attract foreign enterprises to Uzbekistan, enhance the skill set of young professionals, and further amplify the export of IT services from the country. Notably, the gathering addressed the recent announcement during the President's video selector meeting that companies employing over 50 IT specialists would be eligible for reimbursement of up to 15% of the salary costs for one year. Additionally, 50% of the expenses related to hiring foreign experts for export companies and the compensation for participation in international conferences were highlighted.
Furthermore, the meeting delved into the potential for collaboration in the realm of creating games and advancing the game industry within Uzbekistan.
