In a groundbreaking move for Uzbek cinema, Warner Brothers, one of the largest production concerns in the United States, has signed a significant contract with Said Tulyaganov, a student from the Tashkent branch of VGIK.
Vice President Mark Belasco officially inked the deal during the ongoing American Film Market in Santa Monica. This renowned event sees major global producers convene annually, with deals exceeding $1bn for film financing and rights acquisition.
Tulyaganov's films, "The Cold Race" and "The Lessons of Kilimanjaro," will now be distributed by Warner Brothers as part of this pivotal agreement. Notably, Tulyaganov and his works stand as the sole representatives of Uzbekistan at this prominent international film market.
Tulyaganov's filmography reflects his exploration of diverse landscapes and subjects, showcasing his adeptness in documentary and fiction filmmaking:

With this contract, Tulyaganov's films find a platform in one of the most influential production houses globally, marking a significant leap for Uzbek cinema onto the international stage.
Said Tulyaganov, born in Tashkent in 1982, boasts a diverse background. Graduating with honors from the Tashkent State University of Economics in 2003, he later pursued studies in film and television direction at the Uzbek State Institute of Culture and Art in 2018. In 2020, he furthered his cinematic education by entering VGIK in the field of producing.
