Specialists from China are set to install 7,600 base stations following the GSM/UMS/LTD/5G standard in Tajikistan, Sputnik reports. The collaborative effort was formalized through a memorandum signed by Bek Saburov, the head of the Communications Service of Tajikistan, and Ma Tian, the head of the HUAWEI subsidiary.
The memorandum outlines a strategic partnership between Tajikistan and HUAWEI for the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital infrastructure. The deployment of the base stations is expected to have a transformative impact on mobile communications and fixed broadband networks throughout Tajikistan.
"This initiative is a significant step toward fostering the growth of mobile communications and enhancing fixed broadband networks in Tajikistan. Amid the rapid evolution of information technology, it enables operators to seamlessly access the latest equipment," emphasized the Communication Service's press service.
Beyond the installation of base stations, the document establishes a framework for collaboration among personnel in the communications sector, mobile operators, and specialists from Huawei Technology Tajikistan. Together, they will actively contribute to the development of a unified modernization project aimed at further elevating Tajikistan's digital infrastructure.
The partnership aligns with Tajikistan's broader commitment to embracing modern technologies and fostering innovation in the telecommunications sector. As the collaboration takes shape, it is expected to not only enhance connectivity across the nation but also facilitate the swift integration of state-of-the-art equipment by local operators.
The joint efforts outlined in the memorandum exemplify the ongoing global cooperation in advancing digital technologies and underline the commitment of both Tajikistan and Huawei to contribute to the rapid evolution of the telecommunications landscape.
