The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia engaged in a discussion regarding the implementation of high-level agreements during a telephone conversation on November 29. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and President Vladimir Putin of Russia deliberated on various bilateral issues, particularly focusing on the practical execution of agreements made during a visit to the Russian Federation from October 5-7 earlier this year.
Both leaders expressed contentment over the consistent reinforcement of Uzbek-Russian relations, emphasizing the expansion of multifaceted cooperation and the deepening of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. The two countries have witnessed a positive trend in the growth of mutual trade turnover indicators, with collaborative projects across different sectors of the economy being successfully carried out. Additionally, fruitful interregional contacts have been established, and a joint agrological complex was recently inaugurated in the Jizzakh region.
Both heads of state acknowledged the active cultural and humanitarian exchange between Uzbekistan and Russia, as well as ongoing programs in the field of healthcare. The conversation underscored the commitment of both nations to further enhancing their bilateral ties and advancing cooperation across various domains.
