    Shavkat Mirziyoyev concludes Bishkek visit and returns to Uzbekistan

    The operational visit to Bishkek, where Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the Summit of Independent States, has successfully concluded, and the Uzbekistan President has returned to Tashkent.

    As per the report from the Presidential Press Service, upon his departure, the state leader was seen off at the "Manas" International Airport by Aqilbek Japarov, Chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers, and several other dignitaries.

    During the summit on October 13, the President of Uzbekistan actively engaged in the session of the CIS Heads of State Council and presented a series of pivotal initiatives aimed at further expanding the scope of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of friendship. In recognition of his substantial contributions to the enhancement of friendly, good-neighborly, and mutually beneficial partnership relations, the leader of Uzbekistan was honored with the CIS Honorary Certificate.

    At the CIS summit, a formal ceremony occurred, during which the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was awarded the CIS Badge of Honor. This esteemed accolade was bestowed upon him in recognition of his extraordinary endeavors to strengthen amicable relationships, encourage positive neighboring connections, and advance diverse collaboration within the organization.

    Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed the creation of an international organization dedicated to the Russian language during the CIS summit in Bishkek. The aim is to strengthen cooperation and promote the Russian language among CIS member states.

    This proposal includes details about the organization's legal status, objectives, and operational procedures, focusing on enhancing cooperation to support and advance the Russian language. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his support for this initiative, emphasizing the role of language in cultural exchange and collaboration. This proposal underscores the importance of linguistic and cultural ties within the CIS and member states' commitment to preserving and promoting the Russian language's heritage in the region.

    During the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan proposed the development of additional measures to stimulate mutual investments and advance projects. He also suggested organizing a forum focused on industrial cooperation and innovative development within the CIS countries.

    Significant attention was given to collaboration in the energy and food sectors, the adoption of advanced technologies in relevant economic areas, and the strengthening of cooperation. Furthermore, there was a recommendation to create an updated program concerning cooperation in food safety and to establish an agreement outlining the key directions for collaboration in the agro-industrial complex.

    The leader of Uzbekistan also initiated the preparation of a comprehensive "road map" aimed at boosting interregional cooperation. This map would outline specific measures to enhance transport interconnectivity, increase both passenger and cargo transportation.

    The importance of collective action in addressing the consequences of global climate change was underscored. Additionally, it was mentioned that a special plenary session dedicated to environmental challenges in the CIS region would be organized as part of the International Climate Forum under the UN's auspices, scheduled to be held in Samarkand next year.

    Additionally, during the CIS summit in Bishkek, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Belarus, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Alexander Lukashenko, held a meeting to enhance bilateral relations and discuss collaboration. They were pleased with the progress made in their multifaceted relationship, with a focus on growing trade and successful joint projects in various sectors. Cultural exchanges, cinematography, and sports collaborations were praised.

    Key points of discussion included the need for coordinated efforts to further expand trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation. They emphasized the significance of upcoming events like the Intergovernmental Commission meeting, the Forum of Regions, and gatherings of leading higher education institutions in both countries. These initiatives were seen as pivotal in strengthening educational, cultural, and economic ties.

    In addition to bilateral cooperation, Presidents Mirziyoyev and Lukashenko discussed collaboration within the CIS and other international organizations. They expressed their commitment to working together on regional and global issues.

    Furthermore, during the CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Belarus and Uzbekistan, Sergei Aleinik and Bakhtiyor Saidov, held discussions on various sectors, including light industry, agriculture, industrial cooperation, and pharmaceuticals. Both parties highlighted the importance of expanding interregional cooperation. The meeting reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening the bonds between their nations and fostering greater cooperation.
