In response to a health incident affecting children in the Namangan region of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has conveyed his deep concern and well wishes for the children's speedy recovery.
As stated by his spokesperson, Sherzod Asadov, "The president regularly receives updates on the situation. The regional governor and responsible individuals have been tasked with closely monitoring the situation, identifying its causes, and proposing appropriate solutions."
Earlier, Daryo reported a concerning incident in the Chust district of the Namangan Region, with 71 children hospitalized due to poisoning symptoms.
Several kindergartens and schools have reported rising body temperatures, vomiting, and abdominal pain. However, all hospitalized children receive treatment per established standards, and necessary samples are being examined to determine the final diagnosis.
All the children are in stable condition, with none being critical, and nine of them have even been discharged due to better health.
