A 22-year-old man has been arrested for the murder and dismemberment of a well-known surgeon and a migrant from Kyrgyzstan in northern Moscow. The suspect, originally from Uzbekistan, had contact with the victims through an online messenger group focused on a "specific topic."
According to MK.RU, the 56-year-old surgeon, Dorjo Ayusheev, engaged in conversations with a young man named Hasanboy in a Telegram group. On September 11, Ayusheev invited Hasanboy to his apartment. Concern arose when Ayusheev's 40-year-old niece couldn't reach him the next day, and she discovered his mutilated body in his home. Investigators found that Ayusheev had been killed, and his head severed with a kitchen knife.
The killer took the victim's bank cards and made small purchases. He then met a 25-year-old migrant worker from Kyrgyzstan through the same messenger app and later brutally murdered him. A security guard discovered the migrant's mutilated body.
Surveillance cameras recorded Ayusheev leading an unidentified man into his home. With the help of these recordings, law enforcement identified the killer as 22-year-old Khasanboy Makhamadzhonov, who was apprehended while visiting relatives in Zelenograd, Russia.
Makhamadzhonov had been working as a handyman in the Moscow region and had arrived from Uzbekistan to visit relatives on September 10. It was revealed that he had a troubled upbringing, raised by an uncle who may have subjected him to violence.
The detainee has not disclosed a motive for the crimes and will undergo a psychiatric examination as the investigation continues.
