On August 12, Uzbekistan received its twelfth shipment of anti-hepatitis C medications from Egypt, Dunyo reports. The delivery consists of 1,280 units of "Daclatasvir-60 mg" medications, packaged in 80 boxes.
As usual, these drugs will be distributed to patients who have undergone treatment at the Research Institute of Virology under the Ministry of Health.
The choice of collaborating with Egypt came as the country has emerged as a global leader in combating hepatitis B and C viruses, achieving remarkable success in disease eradication.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health has announced that the nation's population has achieved full recovery from these illnesses, and they are prepared to share both their innovative diagnostic devices developed by Egyptian scientists and their expertise with medical professionals in Uzbekistan.
As part of this collaborative effort, Uzbekistan's Minister of Health, Amrillo Inoyatov, is scheduled to participate in the "Global Congress on Population, Health and Development" taking place in Cairo from September 5 to 8. This event is organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Health. During this visit, discussions will be held to explore possibilities for further expanding the scope of free assistance.
The distribution of these medicinal shipments commenced on April 29, with the most recent, the eleventh installment, arriving on August 5.
