Alexander Krestinin, a Russian specialist who previously worked as the head coach of the Kyrgyzstan national football team, has been appointed as the head coach of the Tashkent football club "Bunyodkor," according to the club's press service.
"I proudly accepted the offer from 'Bunyodkor,' a club with its own traditions and values. Working as the head coach in such teams is an honour for any specialist. Therefore, our negotiations did not last long," he said.
Currently, the club is in eighth place in the Uzbekistan Super League. Alexander Krestinin stated that,
"The situation is not as desired, and we need to change it for the better. Undoubtedly, this requires hard work from me and my assistants. We are not unfamiliar with such a situation,"
he added.
Alexander Krestinin, 44 years old, led the Kyrgyzstan national team for nine years, from 2014.
