Billionaire and Alibaba founder, Jack Ma, reportedly visited Uzbekistan on June 30 following his trip to Pakistan. Ma had initially visited Nepal before arriving in Pakistan for a personal visit.

Although Pakistani media covered his trip, the 58-year-old business magnate avoided interactions with Pakistani officials and the media, stating that his visit was private. Even the Chinese embassy in Pakistan was unaware of Ma's presence. Accompanied by five Chinese, one American, and one Dane, Ma traveled to Uzbekistan on a private plane. The specific purpose and outcomes of his visit to Uzbekistan remain undisclosed at this time.
Jack Ma had been absent from the public eye for almost a year during China's crackdown on technology entrepreneurs. He returned to China in March 2023.
