US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick and Dominique Freire paid a visit to the Samarkand Art House, which is implementing the USAID women economic empowerment CraftLab project, the press service of the diplomatic mission informs.
Reportedly, the Ambassador held a meeting with female artisans who received training from qualified masters and trainers on business development, e-commerce, logistics, networking, and fundraising.
'The United States is supporting the economic empowerment of women in rural areas of Uzbekistan through a $3.4mn initiative implemented by USAID’s Agribusiness Development Activity and through the regional Future Growth Initiative', the message reads.
