Now individuals can take ready-made jewellery worth up to 100 million soums out of Uzbekistan without filling out a passenger customs declaration. This was reported by the information service of the State Customs Committee.
Self-employed jewellery makers can take their ready-made products out of Uzbekistan without entering the data into the single electronic information system of Foreign Trade Operations, filling out the passenger customs declaration.
Starting from February 1, 2023, refineries and jewellery manufacturers, when placing precious metals and raw materials containing precious metals under the customs regime of processing in the customs territory, precious metals placed under the customs regime of processing and containing precious metals in the customs territory are exempted from the obligation to obtain a license for the export and import of special types of goods when exporting raw materials processing products outside the customs territory of Uzbekistan.
Until January 1, 2026, import customs duties on pearls, diamonds, and precious and semi-precious stones (positions 7101-7104 of the TIF TN) were set at zero per cent.
The former rule allowed to take ready-made jewellery worth up to five thousand dollars out of the country without filling out a passenger customs declaration.
