The Central Bank of Uzbekistan hosted a delegation led by the chairman of the board of B.N.K Kyongnam Bank, Chong-Young Choi, the bank's press service reports.
The management of Kyongnam Bank noted the positive changes in the country's economy as a result of the ongoing reforms and announced plans to open a subsidiary bank specializing in digital banking services.
Through this, the Korean financial institution intends to expand the participation of the Bank of Korea in the financial market of Uzbekistan.
Founded in 1970, BNK Kyongnam Bank is part of the BNK Financial Group and is one of the largest banks in South Korea.
On March 11, 2021, BNK Kyongnam Bank opened its representative office in Uzbekistan based on the accreditation of the Central Bank.
