As the country chairing the SCO, Uzbekistan welcomes the achievement of peace and the elimination of tensions on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
"Uzbekistan believes that all issues and existing problems can be only resolved through peaceful negotiations and consultations based on international law and previously reached agreements.
We hope that the terms of peace will be strictly observed, and we call on the parties to conduct political and diplomatic negotiations to stabilize the current situation and get out of the situation," the ministry said in a statement.
