Uzbekistan aims to be among the top 50 innovative countries in 2026. This was reported at a press conference held at the Agency of Information and Mass Communications.
The Republic defines supporting start-up initiatives and organizing large-scale production by forming a network of innovative infrastructure entities such as an innovative technological park, technology transfer centre, innovative cluster, venture organization, innovation centre, startup accelerator, and incubators as the main directions of the strategy.
A total of 1751 innovative projects have been formed in universities/scientific organizations. In particular, 224 projects worth 206 billion soums, which create 2507 jobs, are being implemented in the regions so far.
The "Driver" 265 projects worth 6.6 trillion soums have been created, which envisage the serial production of 176 types of innovative products worth 33 trillion soums in economic sectors and the adoption of technologies.
