Shavkat Mirziyoyev: " IT professions have become a trend among young people"

During the conversation with the "Astrum" academy students, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that IT professions have become a trend among young people.

Currently, the IT park in Tashkent employs 14,000 young people and the number of self-employed IT specialists has increased by 2.5 times since the beginning of the year and reached 43 000.

In 2022 alone, 134 new IT companies, including 50 foreign ones, were set up in the country, and the number of exporting firms doubled. In the last three years, the price of mobile internet has decreased by 9 times, and Uzbekistan has risen to 15th place in the international ranking (from 68th place). The volume and export of IT services have increased several times.
