Four young musicians from Uzbekistan won multiple accolades at the esteemed international music competitions, the Citta di Pesaro and Citta di Barletta, on May 4-13. Saida Khusanova, Yusuf Sulton, Diora Shorustamova, and Sevinch Bakieva claimed top honors. Participants hailed from across the globe including Germany, Albania, Russia, South Korea and beyond to showcase their diverse talents and celebrate musical excellence. Among the standout performers were Uzbekistan's young musicians who left an indelible mark on the competitions, Khusanova, their mentor, told Daryo.
Elated by the results of the competition Khusanova said:
It is very important for a musician to take part in competitions, glorifying the culture of the homeland on the international stage. Of course this is a colossal experience that will play its role in shaping a professional performer. We are incredibly happy that we were able to demonstrate to many countries how rich our land is in talent!
Saida Khusanova, one of the entrants in the competitions, emerged triumphant claiming the coveted first absolute prize at the Citta di Pesaro competition. Additionally, she won the first prize and special recognition for the best rendition of a Romantic-era piece at the Citta di Barletta competition.
Yusuf Sulton distinguished himself by securing the second prize at the Citta di Pesaro competition and later earned the top spot along with a special award for outstanding interpretation of a composition by a national composer at the Citta di Barletta competition.
Diora Shorustamova impressed the judges winning the third prize at the Citta di Pesaro competition. Her talent shone brightly again where she won the first prize and a special accolade in another category for her remarkable artistry Barletta Ricettiva - Marida Bonadies at the Citta di Barletta competition.
Sevinch Bakieva rounded off the Uzbek success story by winning the first prize at the Citta di Pesaro competition, along with scoring another first position and special recognition for her artistry at the Citta di Barletta competition.
In recognition of their stellar performances and the training they received, a special diploma was awarded to Nigora Khusanova senior teacher at the piano department of the Uzbekistan State Conservatory who herself is a laureate of international competitions.
