The Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan welcomed the new Ambassador of Denmark, His Excellency Jacob Henningsen, who arrived in Tashkent to present his credentials, as it was highlighted by the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry on his telegram channel on May 16.
"Today the ministry received the new Ambassador of Denmark to Uzbekistan H.E. Jacob Henningsen, who arrived in Tashkent to present his credentials. During our meeting, we discussed the development of Uzbek-Danish relations and identified promising areas for further cooperation. I wish Mr. Ambassador success in achieving his goals to strengthen our ties," the head of the ministry announced.
Diplomatic relationship between Uzbekistan and Denmark was first established on January 25, 1992. Denmark was the first European country with which Uzbekistan formed diplomatic ties.
At 52 years old, Ambassador Jacob Henningsen brings a wealth of experience to his new role. A career diplomat, he has held various positions within the central office of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has served in numerous Danish embassies around the world. Since 2022, he has represented Denmark as ambassador to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, with his official residence in Moscow.
