The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation in Uzbekistan has announced the offering of scholarships to Uzbek students to pursue studies at universities in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. This initiative stems from an agreement signed between Kungirotboy Sharipov, the head of the Uzbek ministry, and Erkin Tuniyaz, the chairman of the government of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
As per to the agreement, China will provide a list of higher education institutions in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region where Uzbek students can study, along with information about the conditions and requirements of the scholarship programs. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation in Uzbekistan will provide a list of recommended students for study in the region.
The duration of study for scholarship recipients from foreign countries will be determined by the recipient institution in accordance with the requirements of the national education system. Candidates wishing to study in China are required to have a certain level of proficiency in Chinese language. Language courses can be arranged for scholarship recipients if needed.
