A bonded zone was inaugurated in Kashgar, People's Republic of China (PRC). The Ministry of Digital Development confirmed that the bonded zone, spanning an area of 7,500m², serves as a pivotal hub for the export of Kyrgyz products to the Chinese market, heralding a new era of economic collaboration.
"Two Countries - Two Parks" Initiative
The establishment of the bonded zone aligns with the "Two Countries - Two Parks" initiative, a collaborative effort between Kyrgyz Pochtasy, Naryn FEZ, and Kashgar FEZ. Under this initiative, the bonded zone serves as a conduit for facilitating seamless trade operations between Kyrgyzstan and China, fostering the exchange of goods and services.
The significance of the bonded zone was underscored as Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, along with Marat Cherikchiev, General Director of Kyrgyz Pochtasy, and other government officials, graced the inauguration ceremony. The event marked the opening of the national pavilion "Made in Kyrgyzstan," showcasing a diverse array of domestic products destined for the Chinese market.
Catalyzing Technological Advancement and Business Cooperation
The implementation of the "Two Countries - Two Parks" project is poised to catalyze technological innovation and elevate business cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China. By leveraging quality goods from Kyrgyz companies, the initiative aims to tap into the vast potential of the Chinese market, thereby fostering economic growth and prosperity.
The project introduces innovative development models, including the "platform + park" and "institute + enterprise" frameworks, to streamline logistics services and expedite cross-border trade processes. Notably, the initiative facilitates the establishment of 48-hour and 72-hour warehouse-to-warehouse direct transportation services, bolstering efficiency and reliability in cross-border logistics operations.
