As per the latest data released by the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan produced approximately 1.7mn tons of grapes in 2023. However, this figure reflects a marginal decrease of 1.3% compared to the grape yield in 2022.
Regional Distribution
Among the regions of Uzbekistan, the Samarkand region emerged as the leading contributor to grape cultivation, accounting for 639,200 tons. On the other hand, the Republic of Karakalpakstan reported the lowest grape yield, totaling only 11,600 tons.

- Fergana region: 179,100 tons
- Khorezm region: 49,900 tons
Uzbekistan, a country with a rich history of winemaking, is also the main wine-producing country in Central Asia. The country’s favorable climate and fertile soils contribute to the cultivation of over 300 varieties of grapes across various zones.
Earlier, it was reported that the Association of Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan has made its debut in Poland. The association, led by Nizomiddin Abdullayev, the head of Eletto Sp. z o.o. has unveiled plans to establish a trading house in Poland dedicated to the sale of Uzbek wine.
