On January 31, Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Leonid Marinich, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting was centered around the current state of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The II Interregional Uzbekistan-Belarus Forum
The organizational aspects of the upcoming II Interregional Uzbekistan-Belarus Forum, among other major events in Tashkent, were discussed. The forum is expected to host 150 regional representatives of Belarus and heads of leading industrial enterprises.
Site Visits and Contract Negotiations
As part of the forum’s program, participants plan to visit large production facilities in Uzbekistan. These visits will be followed by meetings with Uzbek partners, where new, mutually beneficial contracts are expected to be concluded.
Joint Projects and Organizational Issues
The potential of large joint projects proposed for mutual review and agreement was analyzed during the meeting. Other organizational issues aimed at enriching the event with practical content were also discussed.
At the end of the meeting, specific agreements were reached to increase the scope of mutual trade and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus. This marks a significant step towards strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.
