The Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Amrillo Inoyatov, held discussions with Airbus Helicopters, a French company, during the Uzbek-French business forum in Samarkand on November 2. The talks revolved around the potential purchase of 10 Airbus H-145 medical helicopters to enhance Uzbekistan's emergency medical care system.
The parties also explored the establishment of a medical aviation service in the country that adheres to European standards. This initiative aims to create a material and technical infrastructure, provide training for specialists, and develop mechanisms for delivering medical aviation services in mountainous and remote areas.
The Airbus H-145 is a versatile helicopter designed for emergency medical care, law enforcement functions, and passenger transport. Its compact size allows for safe operations near hospitals in urban and densely populated areas.
Minister Inoyatov also met with Jean Edouard, Chairman of the Gas System company, a manufacturer of medical gas systems and medical oxygen concentrators, to discuss potential bilateral collaboration.
Additionally, Amrillo Inoyatov and Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, engaged in discussions with Christian Vijsen, Chairman of Boehringer Ingelheim. Boehringer Ingelheim is among the top 20 global manufacturers of biological and antitumor drugs, producing medications for various diseases, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and oncological conditions. The talks resulted in an agreement to explore the localization of the company's products, potentially enhancing local pharmaceutical production.
