Previously, children afflicted with kidney failure, stemming from the "Dok-1 Max" syrup, which is believed to be responsible for the tragic demise of no fewer than 65 children in Uzbekistan, presented a complex situation. The authorities diligently prepared and transmitted this information to Bezkod Musayev, who occupied the position of Health Minister at the time. Curiously, these vital details failed to reach the Minister.
During a court session regarding "Dok-1 Max" on October 27, 2023, Sevara Ubaydullaeva, who was the head of the Main Directorate for Maternal and Child Health Protection at the Ministry of Health during the syrup incident, was questioned.
The witness explained that she sent photos of a seminar held on November 22, 2022, through Telegram to Bezkod Anvarovich with a message, "We are conducting seminars on OPN-kidney failure. We teach everyone how to identify it in the early stages." The witness recalled how Bezkod Musayev had been informed of the situation.
According to the witness, the former minister's lack of familiarity with the medical field led him to not pay much attention to OPN since it was somewhat distant from the realm of medicine. However, on December 15-16, he approached the witness, saying, "You have a message; they are telling me this now. He is seriously ill." The witness responded, "I informed you about this disease when patients developed kidney failure. We were working on it. We tried to save the children," stating that she had informed the minister earlier.
Sevara Ubaydullaeva testified that after gathering data about cases of kidney failure in affected children, she conveyed this information to Deputy Minister Elmira Bosithanova, who did not have the authority to submit information directly to the minister.
To be honest, when I first started my new job, I was directly subordinate to Bosithanova, and I couldn't enter the office too far. I had the opportunity to input data only through Telegram. I passed all the information to Bosithanova. They told me that I would deliver it myself and that I didn't need to enter," the witness said.
Sevara Ubaydullaeva testified in court that after the former minister, while speaking on television and addressing the nation about the "Dok-1 Max" events, called her and said, "Why didn't you enter on time and explain what's happening?"
"I entered all the information with Bosithsonova. They should have input the information about subordination themselves. I represent it myself. I told them that he said you acted right, and I somewhat ignored it." In court, Deputy Minister Elmira Bosithanova, who responded to this case, refuted the witness's testimony.
