The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan has decided to hold an International Festival of Ethnosport in the city of Khiva. According to this decree, the festival will be held every two years. The first festival is scheduled for the period from 7 to 10 September this year in Khiva.
The document approved the organizing committee, which will be engaged in the preparation of the festival, as well as the plan of events and rules of conduct.
The festival plans to hold international competitions, a two-stage national 'plov' cooking championship, as well as exhibitions of painting and embroidery art, ceramics and literature published in Uzbek, Persian, Arabic and Russian.
In the final ceremony, the winners and participants of international competitions will be awarded with medals and diplomas. The winners will also be determined in various categories, such as "The youngest participant", "The most popular athlete" and "Honorary Athlete", who will also receive valuable prizes.
The Ethnosport Festival extends a warm invitation to enthusiastic athletes not only from Uzbekistan but also from various nations worldwide. Additionally, foreign guests and individuals from all corners of the globe are cordially welcomed to partake in this grand celebration.
