Shavkat Mirziyoyev has awarded the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan the highest order of “Imom Buxoriy”.
Dear Mr. Rajab Tayyip Erdoğan! I am glad to see you in Samarkand. This is a historic event. Today, my brother Rajab Tayyip Erdogan was awarded the highest order of Imam Al-Bukhari of Uzbekistan.
As you know, I spoke about studying the legacy of our great grandfather, Imam Al-Bukhari at the 72nd session of the UN in 2017. At that time, the president of Turkey, my brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan, supported the idea. Tashkent Islamic University named after Imam Al-Bukhari operates in Uzbekistan.
In the hadith narrated by our great ancestor, it is emphasized that "actions depend on intentions." That is why we have established an international scientific research center and a school of hadith science in the name of Imam Bukhari in the land of Samarkand in order to deeply study the heritage of our grandfather Imam Bukhari.
The people of Uzbekistan know and highly appreciate your personal contribution to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and the effective implementation of mutually beneficial projects. I am sure that our friendly and brotherly relations based on a common language and culture, the rich heritage of our ancestors, and common aspiration will flourish, - Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
