On August 17, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued a statement condemning the explosion in one of the mosques in the city of Kabul, Afghanistan.

The document states that Uzbekistan was deeply saddened by a large number of casualties as a result of an explosion in one of the mosques in Kabul during the evening prayer.

"We strongly condemn the act of terrorism and hope that all measures will be taken to identify the organizers and perpetrators of this barbaric act.

We express our condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased, and wish the injured a speedy recovery," the report said.
