Kazakhstan airlines intend to increase the number of flights to Uzbekistan. This was reported by "Kazinform" with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
Air Astana, SCAT and Kazakh Air emphasized the ongoing work on the restoration of international scheduled airlines stopped due to the pandemic and the need to expand the geographical area of the flights.
In particular, efforts are being made to establish air traffic with Pakistan. It is also planned to open new routes to a number of cities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China due to increased demand.
"We have sent several letters of request to the Civil Aviation Administration of China to increase the number of flights. At the same time, we offered our Uzbek colleagues to increase the number of new air routes and flights. In the near future, we ask the aviation administrations of China, Uzbekistan and Pakistan to influence the immediate resolution of these issues," said Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompiyeva, who participated in the meeting.
