On July 22, the sixth international congress of the world community "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan - the foundation of a new Renaissance" started in Samarkand, the Daryo.uz correspondent reports.
The 2-day event 250 world-famous oriental scientists, including 33 famous international and 15 national museum directors, representatives of 6 international organisations, more than 15 academicians, more than 20 professors and 20 doctors of science were presented 10 volumes of books named “Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage in world collections."
As part of the event, a special edition of an ancient manuscript kept in the National Library of France was also shown to the audience.
"One of the leading European publishing houses, Mueller & Schindler, presented a unique manuscript facsimile created by order of the great astrologer Mirzo Ulugbek. Also, within the framework of the congress, two more unique books on the art of Uzbekistan "On the shores of Aral and Amu". The books "Art of Karakalpak" and "Decoration: aesthetics, magic, meaning" came as the icings on the cake.
