The number of enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with Kyrgyz capital participation reached 344 as of January 1, 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee. The companies operate across a range of sectors, with trade accounting for the largest share.
By sector, 138 enterprises are engaged in trade, followed by industry with 60 companies, information and communications with 30, and transport and storage with 18. Construction accounts for 17 enterprises, while accommodation and food services comprise 14. Health and social services represent six enterprises, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries five, and other activities 56.
The data highlight the continued presence of Kyrgyz investors in Uzbekistan’s private sector, particularly in trade and industrial activities, amid broader efforts to deepen regional economic ties.
Earlier statistics show that the total number of enterprises and organisations operating in Uzbekistan has declined in recent years. As of November 1, 2025, 465,900 enterprises were active nationwide, down from more than 580,000 in 2022 and marking the lowest level in the past five years.
The figures come amid renewed political emphasis on regional cooperation. At the seventh Central Asia summit in Tashkent, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov highlighted closer ties with Uzbekistan, citing progress in transport connectivity and calling for expanded trade, industrial cooperation, and digital integration across the region.
