President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has proposed developing a roadmap to enhance the institutional capacity of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States and to promote joint projects preserving the cultural unity, spiritual heritage, and national traditions of Turkic peoples.
The proposal came during a meeting on November 12 with Binali Yıldırım, chairman of the Council of Elders, who is visiting Uzbekistan to attend the International Forum on Multimodal Transport.
At the start of the meeting, Yıldırım conveyed greetings and best wishes from President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The leaders discussed ways to further expand cooperation within the Organization, highlighting the Council’s growing role in coordinating and promoting multilateral initiatives.
Attention was also given to the practical implementation of Uzbekistan’s strategic proposals presented at this year’s summits in Budapest and Gabala.
