A roundtable discussion was held in Nanjing featuring an Uzbek delegation led by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Ilzat Kasimov, alongside representatives of leading companies from China’s Jiangsu Province.
The event brought together more than 30 major corporations, which expressed strong interest in expanding bilateral cooperation and launching new investment initiatives. Discussions focused on the investment potential of Uzbekistan’s regions, particularly highlighting opportunities in Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh Region and Bukhara Region.
The sides explored prospects for establishing industrial clusters and technology parks, as well as expanding manufacturing cooperation. Special attention was given to the healthcare sector, where participants outlined plans for joint medical projects and the development of medical tourism in partnership with Chinese investors.
On the same day, a separate meeting was held with SOHO Holding Group and ten major companies from Jiangsu Province operating in logistics, trade and sericulture. The discussions centered on the creation of a modern logistics hub and the expansion of sericulture clusters, including new facilities in Jizzakh and Karakalpakstan.
The agenda also included cooperation in residential construction, with plans to develop modern housing complexes in New Tashkent.
Following the discussions, the participants agreed on a strategic roadmap to advance the proposed initiatives and joint investment projects.
