A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov, conducted an official visit to Azerbaijan from April 22 to 24, holding a series of high-level meetings focused on expanding bilateral cooperation.
During the visit, discussions were held with the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and senior executives of leading enterprises. The talks centered on coordinating joint events, advancing strategic initiatives, launching new manufacturing cycles, and facilitating participation in the International Urban Forum.
Both sides agreed to prioritize cooperation across several sectors, including mining, construction materials production, transport and logistics, urban planning, the agro-industrial complex, and pharmaceuticals.
Particular attention was given to plans for establishing the “Uzbekistan” park in Baku and the “Azerbaijan” park in Tashkent, as well as expanding pharmaceutical retail networks and developing fruit and vegetable processing projects.
Economic ties between the two countries have shown steady growth. In 2025, bilateral trade turnover reached $307.3mn, marking a 14.6% increase compared to the previous year.
